I would recommend reading Oscar Wilde novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray", in which is researched a human nature, double life and question of morality and honesty. The main purpose of this book is to denounce worthless outside beauty and to show its vanity.

The action takes place in London, England, in the late nineteenth century. Dorian moves between two major parts of London, to West End and East End. In the West End, Dorian establishes his home, various gentlemen's clubs, and theatres. He is the gentleman, cultured aristocrat and famous beauty. In the East End, he becomes a creepy, sordid and immoral person. Writer creates a double setting for a double life.
Also, in this novel we can see Dorian Gray’s inside conflict. At first, he is a handsome, charming, modest and young boy. But, he meets Lord Henry, who discovers his beauty and becomes Dorian’s ideal, and then Dorian’s character and inside state change. He starts to value his beauty, youth, treats and forgets conscience. Dorian wants to be forever young and nice, and his soul reflects wonderful his picture.

All in all, this book reveals tenderness, heartiness, reality subject in a novel and in a real life. People cannot be in love with themselves, they do not have to slight others. They have to understand our feelings and minds.
This novel left a big impression to me and let to give thought about vanity. People should value not outside, but inside beauty. Also, I would recommend reading this book for people who do not trust their appearance.
